Making the OMM calender

I was so happy to see that my picture made it into this year's calendar that I actually bought one. I realize I shelled out $30 for just a tiny reprint of something I drew (though I like that the money goes towards charity). But, when I received it I started flipping through the other pages first and realized that if you were in the top row in the center your image is basically hole punched out and I was glad I wasn't in the center (yet sorry for who was.) Then when I got to the month I was in and saw it I was kinda sad. The top part of my picture was gone leaving only the lips and mouth. The only part I thought was good about my picture which was the eye isn't there. I think that the next time OMM makes the calendar it should put a margin of color around the images in the picture to make sure that no one is cut out. It's okay when the whole page is just one thing and it needs to be trimmed, but when your whole picture can be taken out with the hole punch, just meh. I'm still glad I made it though.

That is a bit sad! This year we decided to go with a design which filled the page from edge to edge and it seems like the trimming process has been a little agressive. Lessons for next year I believe, but in the mean time I'm sorry you lost your top half. At least you know that your donation is going towards good work!
