Looks really good so far but there are still some images that have not changed. In fact some have not done anything since moving into this area...Strange...
As I asked before is anyone in regular email contact with any of them? Angeli perhaps or Qian, Sol?

Hey stacey for me things have been pretty busy, i have left home to go to the city, and i have started studying a bachelor of fine art at uni. so things have been pretty busy, but im trying to pop in everynow and then to slowly finish my picture and check on the collab.

I think there must be heaps of people that are busy, because yeah - it has been a bit slow, let us all know what your up to smiley

Without Gracie here to command us it has kind of ... fizzled out. I think we need a new idea which people can get to work on a gradually build up on - the type of picture where there is always more to do.

Unfortuantely I have no idea what...

I'm happy to start something new. We could make a start on the image of Gracie's that won the most votes. Or maybe a famous painting would be good to do?

I like the idea of a famous painting - everyone gets given a portion to do, but they can do it in any colours or style as long as the edges fit on with their neighbour and is at least vaguely recognisable as the painting...

What about a Monet? Blurry enough for the likes of me (can't draw!) but lots of colour and could be played with?
I still can't see what to do about the inactive people on this collab area. Some have not been here since Dec. last year!! I have emailed and so has Mark but no response. It will never look like anything if some just don't join in. smiley

Any painting is good for me smiley I'd just like to get something going and for everyone to join in.

A monet would look great, Aunty M. It could be fun to expand on if more people join too. Any objections, anyone? =D
I suppose we'd have to move around again to fill the gaps if the missing people don't come back. 27 of us joined in with the last one (out of 42ish, I think), so should we plan a 6x5 square?

Yes, a Monet would be good... as long as it is something well known but can be interpreted in many ways it should work well.
6x5 sounds good - if people come back they can join on the edges anyway? But even if people only check back on OMM very rarely, hopefully if they see it developing they will want to join in again.

Well, Poppy Field is probably the most recognisable. It has some quite empty areas though:

But if the most interesting squares end up going to missing people, we can always swap if they don't come back. How long does it take to swap if the person doesn't respond?

I have no idea how long it takes to move squares. You would have to ask Eamonn or paul.
I like Poppy Fields. Lets go with that shall we? The one thing I think kills this collab business is waiting for everyone to agree on everything!
Do you want to start us off Jo and just see who joins in and nudge them as we go along?
I did feel when I moved that this would be a fluid thing where the image was constantly changing and that would stop everyone getting bored.
If anyone thinks I am being pushy just say. I don't want to spoil anyones fun I just think that things need to move on now that Gracie is not around.....I do hope she is ok and just busy.smiley

I think we need a good push, Aunty- don't worry about it! Gracie's just finished a great new painting- it's on her deviantart, so at least we know she's still around somewhere!
Right, off we go then!

I've started from the top right corner of the collab- there's an empty square that matches up with a fairly empty square on the pic, plus there seem to be more active members on the right. Sorry to the people who fall outside the 6x5 area who are still involved- you can either expand on the pic however you like (maybe add a frame?), or swap with someone who hasn't been here in a while.

I wish we could get the go-ahead from more people before we start, but I agree with Aunty- we just need to get started on something!

Yep, I like that painting! People probably just need to see action and then they will start moving. I agree that this should be fluid, it is so much more interesting to be changing. I will start as soon as I get back from holiday and have a mouse at my disposal - drawing is hard enough with a mouse, I don't know what it would be like to use a laptop touch pad thingy...
I'm two squares above you, so basically just sky, but I will make it interesting I'm sure smiley

That picture is fine with me, but I can hardly see the square I'd be painting, so a blown up image would be nice if it doesn't take too much time smiley
