I live in Georgia one of the driest places around in the USA. At the moment I’ve been going to school ,I’m in my 3rd year and really hoping to get done with it soon. I work at tax office for one of the surrounding counties, just a job till I get done with school. I am what I call self taught artist. When painting is fun I rather sit and play with clay and rock. Yes I sculpt way better then drawing or painting. While I found I’m not as bad as I first thought, it will never take the place of sitting in a quite room with no sound but the chisel hitting a rock. Growing up I was moved form home to home. I left my parents at the young age of 10. I was taken away of my parents inability to care for me. I was put into foster care and stayed till I turned 18 yrs. I lived in 3 states and over 20 different families and homes. One of my best personality traits is my ability to adapt. I don’t hate my parents nor the fact that I didn’t grow up in the perfect home. My look at it is It made me who I am today, so what do I have to complain about? While Christmas is hard for me and Thanksgiving too, I try to keep a smile though it’s very difficult. So don’t mind my dark paintings, it’s my way of getting it out. I volunteer at Children Services. I go to different group homes and Foster homes to talk with young teens and 17yr olds how are about to get out of the system. At the moment I have an assignment at a girls group home in Atlanta GA. I will be going there on Christmas to hand out presents and talk to the young girls how didn’t have family to come and get them for the holidays. As I was stuck alone for two yrs in a girls group home, I know that its hard being alone and feeling like no one cares. Hopefully it will help them get through a bad time. You know put a smile on their faces. Well I think that is a lot about me. But when I do find a quite time to myself, I’m writing, sculpting, or even painting. I also love to horse back ride and play soccer. But it’s rather rare that I get the chance to do so.
