Thank you, OMM designers, for putting me in the 2008 calendar! And thanks to those of you who have viewed and commented. That e-mail was rather unreal... in the middle of a very stressful week, it was a great spirit-lifter. This project is one of the neatest ideas I've ever encountered, and I'm delighted to see it turning out so successfully.

Plus it makes me feel good as an artist to know that, one year from now, people across the world will be flipping their calendars to December 2008, the Festive theme, and my little purple husky will be able to smile at them. It's hard to believe I drew that almost a year ago.

Thank you very much, everyone. And to you OMM artists - draw like hell!

I'm another one of those who just loves drawing. I have no official instruction in it, so it takes me a while to do anything respectable, but I'll never outgrow art. This, a husky, is my favorite subject. They have taught me more about drawing than anything else on the planet. Just watching them move and interact with their environment is beautiful and inspiring. Plus, purple makes many neat things even neater. Thank you for looking!

Books and Writers: Cradle to Cradle is a nonfiction book about integrating industry and environment by designing both products and production to be ecologically sound. I highly recommend it - although it offers few tangible solutions, it takes an interesting perspective and asks excellent questions.
