We've just found a bug when loading up the paint program. When your image (or one of your neighbours images) is very complicated you will see a flash error telling you that if you proceed your computer will become unstable.
We're aware of this one and will work on a fix... |

| The new drawing software will be uploaded tonight (14 July 2006). The new version is a vast improvement on the current one, so please check back tomorrow and have a play! |

| How about the delay time between the brush stroke and it appearing on the canvas? I keep checking back to see if the speed is better but there seems to be at least a 20-30 second delay which makes it difficult to construct the image. Will this be improved apon? |

Jody,
There are loads of different things that can affect the performance of the paint program, but we're going through them all again to try and improve it. Hope to have some upgrades complete next week.

The paint program has now been greatly improved, and it should perform well regardless of how complex your picture is. The problem was related to the way in which the application stored layers of movie clips in order to build the image. Now a single clip holds most the image, while recent brush strokes are stored in seperate clips which form an undo buffer of limited size.
Technicalities aside, it now works fab so get painting  |
