So by now, you should all know how much I love you guys and this community c: ....and all that AWESOME inspired me to draw some new OMM fanart ;D (I actually started this a while ago, but with summer vacation I've finally had the time  )
I really tried to give this one some deeper meaning and show how the OMM connects people from all over with all different backgrounds and views c:

(I originally wanted the full sized one to spin at a slow crawl, but that wasn't possible with my limited access to animation software :c This animation was done by Kindernacht on deviantArt c: ) The animation's purpose is to show that no one person is necessarily 'on top', but that we're all just revolving around our cause C:

Excellent Christina! Looks like you put a lot of work into creating that.
Very similiar to what I had in my head. Would love to see if a real board game could be done. Wonder if Waddingtons would be interested!! In the unlikely event anybody did do it and made a fortune I bags a percentage of the takings!  |

Ha, brilliant. such a great idea.
I was thinking about OMM games too. The squares seem perfect for devoloping a game.
The only things I could come up with were comment based games, like - See if you can get from image A to image B just by clicking on comment links in the profile, or something like that. You have to be quick though as comments change quickly (No cheating by posting comments though, )

Here's an idea for a game.
Pick a member that you want to connect to (e.g. Laura). Start a small line on your image that goes off the side of your square. IM your neighbour and ask them to continue your line in the direction of the person you're trying to connect with. Continue until you make a connection. Both people could play - making a line from both ends intill it meets. Beware the dreaded black squares however!! |

Aw, thanks you guys I'm thinking about doing some more OMM based fanart ;D Maybe a comic this time... or a chutes/snakes and ladders game c: Any other ideas?
@Pip: Wow, that sounds like fun C: I was thinking about a game similiar to that, but I guess they'd have to used only squares with low comment activity ;D Or maybe we could pick a time frame and a date and everyone would have to race to figure it out first, and once you figured it out you're copy/paste the path on the forum thread.

Christina: I love the idea of OMM spinoffs like fanart/fanzines and games.
Just had a thought. How about an easter egg hunt? People could add an easter egg to their image and then cover it up so it only appears in the playback (or the web admins could hide them around the site ). We could go and search for them.
You'd have to keep your eggs secret though until easter. |
