I was thinking of attempting to think of ways to bring some life to the project, and began wondering if a media package was available. If so, could it be made available to members that want to send it to local media?

I think that would be a good idea. smiley
It would be kind of like....an OMM Street Team!

Ohhh and I found the OMM group on myspace.....but.. I still think that there needs to be an official myspace page and not just group..because people don't really join groups on there. lol
I just think they'd be more apt to accept The OMM as a friend and check it out, than join a group and check it out.

I'd help with it if I was needed....

Anywho....just my two cents....smiley

I really like the idea of a MySpace OMM page, I think that would work really well and if people receive a friend request they would probably check out the website out of curiosity. I don't have a MySpace and am not so adept at finding my way around them but I would be happy to help if someone sets it up.

The idea of media packages is a good one, definitely worth pursuing. You could contact paul about it to suggest it directly, as he is always looking for new ideas to spread the word of OMM: paul@millionmasterpiece.com

I'm off to send OMM group invitations to everyone again on facebook... smiley

I'd be happy to set one up. smiley

It took me a while to figure out myspace, but I got the hang of it, it takes a little getting used to but I like that I am able to customize mine the way I want.
I know a few people that are good with designing myspace stuff so if I get stuck they would probably help me out..
Just tell me what I can use, like for pictures, and info. to make it pretty.

Should I go ahead and set one up?

I'm curious as to where the person/s responsible for taking care of the site are. From the looks of it, there hasn't been any updates to the front page, news bulletins et al since early spring, at the latest...

Things on the site have been slowing down, there haven't been any recent updates to the Admin forum or noticeboard either, which is actually quite odd since Eamonn was thinking about starting some new review pages in February, but instead nothing ever happened.

Gracie hasn't been seen for ages either.

Hm. Keeping the website current should probably be a priority if the project is still going on, imo... :/ I wonder what's happening regarding?

Yupp, I agree it should be kept up...

And I was thinking...maybe we could go throughout the project and ask people to join in on the forums here or something like that...liven this place up. lol

I know we can't be the only 3 here that have something to say (about anything). smiley

Maybe we should plan world domination and see if anyone comes on to stop us...

I agree, it should be kept up, at the very least until the unveiling happens. I would offer to help with upkeep if I knew how. Any type of programming would be an epic fail for me but writing news bulletins probably isn't too much of a stretch...

In regards to setting up a myspace, this is what I could find about copyright in relation to each square:

"All images and pictures produced by the software applications ("Software"smiley on this Website are the property of the individual artist."

Although OMM has the right to distribute the pictures as well. I think if you plan to use individual pictures, you should probably ask the person first.

As for things like the logo and snapshots of the whole thing, we probably do need permission to use them but I don't think we would be stopped (the snapshot and logo have been used on the facebook groups with no problems so far) and the worst that can happen is that they ask us to take down the pictures, so we may as well try.

Also, Pip recently left a comment on the admin forum asking if the OMM had died, so obviously other people are noticing the lack of action.

^ LOL!! smiley

Yeah, I am not so sure about setting one up now...at least not until we hear some sort of news on the project direction.
I mean..I'd hate to spend all that time on it and getting more people to join only to find out something crazy like they aren't going on with the project, you know?

Yep, it would be a complete waste to start now only to find out that it was all for nothing. I agree, wait until we hear something from anybody...

The project is still going ahead and we are still aiming for a million members, but Eamonn is asking for help and suggestions from anyone who wants to get more involved and see the website flourish. The upkeep of the website is hard for just two people and so if anyone wants to help in any way they should let him know.

I think it would be a good idea to start the myspace page now, if you still want to.

Awesome!! So glad to hear this.
-edit-
It looks like someone has already tried to start up a myspace for the omm, there isn't much of anything on it though:

I am still willing to help with it if I am needed. smiley

Hmm, there really isn't much on that site. Is there a way of emailing the person who created it and asking to take control?

Or do you think it is worth starting a new one?

I am not sure what to do really.
I was thinking maybe one of the project directors started it up and didn't have time to finish, or forgot about it? Chances are if that's what happened they prolly wont check their myspace messages.
Who should I contact to see if that's what happened, Eamonn maybe?

Actually, if they left it as blank as it is chances are they wouldn't check their myspace messages whoever started it up... Yes, email Eamonn eamonn@millionmasterpiece.com

If anyone needs help, I'd like to volunteer... I have experience with websites, not a lot but I like to tinker. I can definitely do promotions, think up promo material, Assist in Admin-ing the board [if needed- I have experience with it, I've been a part of the administrative team on a large hobby website for a couple of years now], whatever is needed, I can probably assist.
