What's the coolest aspect of OMM to you? Personally, I love how it grants me the chance to see how amazing people are. I really enjoy learning about people, and each square is a snapshot of someone; a reflection of their personality.

How about you?

It warms my heart how many people there are willing to put their effort and creativity into something this big. Almost no one will really stand out, and yet everyone's putting their little piece into it anyway.

But all that is just a close second to the awesomely dynamic handshake logo on the left menu. xP

Heh, so it's great from a cynical perspective too, eh? XD

Hahahah, that IS a pretty darn sweet picture.

I guess I am a cynic, hey? But yeah, I love that picture. Can't stop staring at it. Is it actually in the OMM somewhere?

I'm not actually sure. Ask Paul Fischer--he'll probably know.

OMM to me is the biggest art selection right here in my living room. So many pictures to look at and I don't even have to leave the house! Also- the whole point of this- the money that will be raised for charity one of which I have supported for years and the chance to learn a little about people from all over the world who are like minded in ethical and enviromental views. Its just nice to know so many people care!

Great thread guys, it's really interesting to read your reasons for liking the OMM project.

Just so you know, I drew the picture of the shaking hands with a test version of the drawing software when the system was being developed. Since then most of the images around the site have been replaced by members pictures, but I really like this one as it sums up what the Community section of the site should be about.

The social aspect is great! I don't think I know this many cool people irl. But then again, I'm really shy in person.

And looking at all the great work! And being able to be a part of something huge smiley It's just a great project all around!

my favorite part is the fact that inside this huge collaboration, there are sub collaborations, and mini collaborations.

some people will draw their pictures to continue the neighboring picture.

I love looking at everyones squares. It shows we're all unique. smiley Some make me laugh and others convey powerful yet simple messages. I like commenting on squares and seeing new artists too.

what i like about this project mmm...

In first place is, that here we're all in the same condition. No matter if your square is a master piece or a doddle, no one's trying to be above the others. The spirit of cooperation smiley

Second is the diversity of the people participating, which is reflected on their work. I love being part of this huge project with people from everywhere and of every age.

and third is, watching the playback! i love it! smiley . Because it answers my eternal question "how did you do that?"

i like how many different things this one project can be used for.
from the suggestion on how its should be printed, someone could order picture tiles to decorate their floor, or postcards to send friends. tee-shirts to spread a message,
it could entertain for hours looking at the countless talents and interesting pictures, wandering around just looking. you can even see what alot of people are thinking, reading thier comments and profiles.
this one project has a million uses.
just like towels do!
