Mums interest?!!! smiley Only if your mum is into gratuitous violence and bad acting!!! How many different places can a snake bite you so you die a nice gory death? I couldn't believe Samuel L Jackson of "Pulp fiction" fame could stoop so low. Got it out cos my teenage boys wanted to see it. Even they got bored and went off to play "Halo". Was just wondering if anyone out there actually liked it.
Btw what forum did you think you were on when you mentioned wearing your grannys knickers and having a drink problem? Had me in hysterics. smiley

Wow! That was a quick reply. Having just checked out the rest of the discussion board it seems like you and I are the only ones on here. Is that because everyone else has far better things to do? I've an excuse. The ground is frozen solid I couldn't work even if I wanted to. (Its 9am here btw) What about you?

bah, art > school/work, unless its art school, or you paint pictures and sell them for a living, in which case I've thoroughly confused myself... I should be writing a report for a class right now, but I think commentling on random boards is more important.

Art colleges these days are crazy! There is much more emphasis on written work than actually creating work! I was so glad when mine was over as I felt like a firmly tethered horse - but it's good to be free now!

Good luck with your course Sin-Mae as the last year is often the most frenetic!

Oi! Stop taking over my thread with arty school stuff! Anybody would think this site had something to do with art for heavens sake. smiley

Hi Lesley (love that dress!) First time I have seen you on discussion board. Checked out your website. Think you have an exhibition coming up near me soon. (hexagon Reading?)...Oh no now I'm talking art stuff....have you seen "Snakes on a plane" by any chance?

Hi Moira! This project is much more enjoyable than college I can tell you! And I see you have several members of your family here too! Well done all of you! As much as I've told people about this project not many have taken it up.

Yep, showing at the Hexagon in October. Are there any places to exhibit in your neck of the woods? I'm not far away, in Bracknell.

But....back to Snakes on a Plane! No I haven't seen it. I LOVE the cinema and have seen The Pursuit of Happyness (*sob* the ending was so emotional), Miss Potter (wanted to sell up afterwards and move to the country) and going to see Notes on a Scandal on Wed.

The last time I saw a scarey movie was Gothika with my daughter. We went to the first showing of the day and we were the only ones there! Now THAT was spooky!

I noticed you had commented on them all! Had to threaten them with death to get them on here. still have to get my older son to do one. Tried to get my mum on but she is a bit scared of computers which is a real shame cos she is a fab artist.
As for places round here to exhibit I wouldn't bother with Alton but Farnham Maltings would be a good place. They do all sorts of exhibitions there.
I love the cinema too! Watching Gothika by yourselves in the cinema must have been very scary. I saw it and there are a lot of "jumpy" bits in it. Haven't seen any of the others you mentioned. Last one I saw was James Bond. That was fantastic. Am taking hubby to the pics for valentines day but haven't decided wot to watch yet. Enjoy your film tomorrow too.smiley
