For those who paint/draw/sculpt/anything artistic on a day to day basis, what's your preferred medium, usually? Have you got something you'vebeen plaing with recently that you love?
I've been inking and watercolouring a lot lately, though I'm constantly infatuated with oil pastels.

I draw cartoons, so I do a lot of pencil pushing. Traditionally, I use Col-Erase pencils and Prismacolor marker pens. If I'm just doodling, any type of pencil or pen and any piece of scrap paper I can find lying around works just fine for me. =] I'm not keen on painting, so I never use any sort of paints.

Digitally, I use Adobe Photoshop and a tablet pen.

I've never used marker pens, myself- my local art store (across the road from my house) stocks prisma colour markers but they're really, really expensive, so i've never invested in a set. I will one day, when i have my own studio space, though.
Very jealous of your tablet. I've only ever had two, and both have broken within the first six months of having them.

acrylic...coz you can do whatever you want with it. add some water they became like water color. no water and just put alot of them in one place, they'll end up looking like oil paints. easy to dry and super simple for a student like me.
for dry media...i love pastels. to blend colors with pastels is something fun to do. you get your hands all dirty...and if you wanna experiment with it...just add water.smileysmileysmiley

tip for acrylics: if you ever want the acrylic texture but you don't want it so plasticy and you want to try something new, add a little dishwashing soap.

I can't say I've ever tried using polymer clay, it's always been on my list, though. I adore modelling and things like that.

I think maybe i need to stop trying to make them look so real and go a less realistic route. hands feet and especially face are super hard to perfect. ( for me anyway)

Oil pastels are my "weapon" of choice as well most the time. Or a simple pen for doodling concepts. Realistic or figure art style work I like to use a Simple mechanical pencil, Good control and can get in details, problems tend to arise with the contrast though, but I don't like the dustiness of other dry mediums so I always go back to my handy mechanical pencil.

I'm always using a No.2 Standard school pencil. I'm just starting to get into digital painting with my WACOM tablet that I recieved for my birthday. It's a very alien-like medium compared to what I'm used to.

I've been doing a fair a amont of digital recently - mostly in OpenCanvas 1 and Oekaki - I think its the 'watercolor' brushes that I love - I have a think for the kind of blurry dream image effect that it can give.
I'm also on a bit of a real media kick at the moment (well, I was until I had all my inking pens stolen). I've been using a combinaiton of copic markers, crayola pencils and cheap acyrlics watered down and used as water colours alot lately. that and ink. I think I'm kinda in love with inks.
PaperMate Ball Point Pens are also great for all things. ALL THINGS D:

I like watercolors best. I just love working with watercolors. ^^ Although I would love to try some other mediums. I use Gimp for my digital pieces, mostly because it's a decent program that's free.

Acrylic, graphite, and prismacolor... and digital, of course. But the worst form me is watercolor. I can never get a grasp on how it's done.
