To add a personal gallery / light box where users could drop in their favourites (much like the tool you get on model agency's sites where by you can drop model cards onto a lightbox). Because, as the image gets larger, it will become harder to keep track of where in the image are the ones you like.

Or maybe a Take Hart style gallery where images that get multiple nominations as favourites could be displayed?

I think this project is great Paul - Kerry let me know about it & I'm giving it a good plug every month in the diary section of my website: http://www.18thcenturycorsets.com/diary2006.htm

Good luck this year with this. I did ask an editor collegue in Kings Reach Tower to send a Round Robin email to all the magazines in the building about this, so hopfully she did remember & something may come of that.

Hi Chantal,

This is definately something we want to add, so that you can display the pictures of friends/family on your profile page. We're thinging about how exactly we will make it work at the moment.

BTW sorry about the hassle you had with the drawing software glitch - it's all been updated now so should be working just great. Plus thanks for the plugs - I can see that we're getting some really steady traffic from your website which is fantastic!!!

Really? That's great! I'm making your project my charity event to champion until it finishes, so I'll be regularly plugging this in my diary too. And spurred on by this news I will splatter the logo/link around the site a bit more & will add it to my links page on my sister site. So you should have hits coming at you from crownsandtiaras.co.uk, 18thcenturycorsets.com & my Smugmug photo album thats part of 18thcenturycorsets.com.

No worries about the software glitch, trust me to want to overcomplicate my drawing. Since the update it's been great.

for all these black spaces, which are owned but unadorned.

What if, those that wished to could create other squares which could be held in an adoption area for those that bought a square but don't want to draw anything or to be fostered by a black square owner until they do something themselves? In the profile you could clearly say the square's owner has 'adopted' or 'fostered' an orphan artwork & the artist would be credited. You could also offer the option to those that have put something on their square but wish to do something new to put their old artwork into the adoption area for someone else to use, before saving their new design.

Fostered work when replaced could be returned to the adoption area for another black square owner to rehome.

Crackers or a good idea? I'll let you decide.

I think that sounds like a great idea Chantal....I have loads of black squares round me...I feel like I'm going to fall off the edge! And I'd be up for making another square or two. My angel was the first completely digital drawing I have ever done, and although I would like to try another, I would hate to end up with something I wasn't so pleased with!

Yeah, I've been thinking about how we might impliment a way that you can save your image and then experiment with a new one. Lots to think about!

Hi guys,
as the picture grows and grows, just an idea - but you could overlay a grid and assign 'zones' to areas of the picture, giving each individual picture a reference e.g. zone 4, f2 (as reference maps do). This will help to locate yours and your fave pics. expanding on this, you could then set up 'zone' specific forums, encouraging neighbours to chat and possibly promote collaborations.

whaddayathink??

yes, I think a grid & zoom option for when people create images would be quality .
