Not that I don't admire the tablet art work, I do, I'm very jealous! But there are lots of us out there who struggle on with a mouse but still produce impressive results!
So if this applies to you, post your stuff on here and let's rate 'n celebrate! smiley

Well, theres mine, I used a ball mouse with an old book for a mousepad... oh and the original drawing was done when I was using a computer with a case made completely out of cardboard, ducttape, and twine. Points for the ghetto p33ps!

They're both amazing guys, well done! It's so hard to get that control, I'm not too pleased with the circled light effect on mine as I couldn't get a perfect circle!

Is the tablet really harder? I'd like to give it a go one day just to see the difference!

Who else has managed with a mouse, come on people let's see! smiley

Its very hard for me to draw anything with a mouse so I ended making mine by just blending colors together for backgrounds and then using the line tool for the lettering. It ended up looking allright so thats what I've been doing for my sqaure.smiley

Hi there, never used a tablet - still a bit stone age when it comes to these computer things, give me a pencil and a bit of paper any day! Still enjoyed making my pic though...

these are looking good!! You can appreciate people's art much more when you know what resources and ability they had I think!

I'm the same, this is my first piece of digital art too!

I used a mouse when I did my square, but now I have a tablet. I think the secret with mouse drawing is patience and a lot of practice. I can use the mouse to draw, but it takes a lot more time than with a tablet.

If you watch the playback of all of my pictures, I start with the freehand tool, then to give it the Indian ink look, I use the line tool.

But yeah, my laser mouse kept on shooting off in random directions as I drew, so I was quite friendly with the undo too.

wow these are really cool guys well done! it's useful watching back how we all drew these I think, I had a similar problem getting control with the mouse when I first started sketching. I've been working on practising other things but I'm not saving it over my square yet smiley

If you have used other techniques, pop your profile on here so we can check em out and admire! smiley

I used a tablet once but, to be honest, I really don't mind just using a mouse. Power to the mouse!
