New website platform launched

Hooray! After four months of feedback, discussion and planning the new version of the OMM platform has been released. While you’re free to investigate the website yourself we thought we’d point out some of the basics:

1) New membership structure

There are now three levels of membership within the OMM project, which are:

Members – Free to join. You get one picture to play with but are not guaranteed to feature within the final exhibition.

Donors – For a donation of $10 you will get two pictures to complete, one of which is guaranteed to feature in the final OMM picture.

Supporters – For a one time donation of $50 you get six pictures within your gallery and a choice of picture sizes, plus guaranteed inclusion within the OMM.

More features are being planned for Donor and Supporter levels very soon.

2) Voting

Voting has been simplified to a simple plus or minus vote. Vote on pictures you love to elevate them to the most popular slots on the homepage gallery, and bury pictures you don’t like to make them less likely to be featured in a gallery. We hope this will be a way for great pictures to get noticed.

3) Profile page enhancements

Your profile pages have been vastly improved. You can now bookmark your family and friends using the favourites feature, and can explore your immediate neighbourhood from your main profile page. The new gallery page contains all your OMM works of art, and the bulletin facility allows you to post personal messages, diaries and adverts.

4) Improved drawing software

The OMM drawing software is now the most technologically advanced online drawing application currently available. New features include virtually limitless drawing, zoom, color picker and image tags. Give it a go!

There are loads of other small improvements taken directly from your feedback but I’ll leave you to hunt them out. In addition, a version 2.1 update is in the pipeline that will add tag searches, user photos, larger image sizes and advanced adult filtering to the mix – release date to be announced very soon!

BRILLIANT WORK. HATS OF TO EVERY ONE OF YOU. I THINK EVERYONE IS GOING TO LOVE THE ZOOM. HEHEHE. IT IS FUNNY TO THINK YOU ALSO BROKE THE WORLD RECORD FOR HEADZOOMS. HEHEHEHE. PICTURE US ALL DOING THE HEADZOOM....HEHEHE I STILL THINK EAMONN ROCKS. NICE MAN. I CANT WAIT TO SEE WHAT IS COMING FROM THIS UPGRADE. THERE ARE GOING TO BE SOME AMAZING PICS APPEARING SOON IM SURE. I like it, I was eager to see what was happening ever since you started the upgrade, and now that its here, I'm glad I logged on today.

The new update is great! The new features with the software are very cool, and I think I now have an extra incentive to donate. 'Course I was going to anyway, but... Whatever. Really nice work! It was well worth the (however small) wait.
