Preparing for a World Record

You might have noticed that the member tally at the top of the site has ground to a halt in the last 24 hours. As we approach the magic number of 25,297 artists (the current World Record) we are busy validating our database to make sure that we can verify each member is an individual person. This process includes removing the dormant blank squares that have received two warning emails and have still not contributed to the project. At the moment we're matching the number of accounts we remove by the new members joining each day (between 300 to 500).

There's lots to do before we break the World Record, but we expect to be ready in mid February. At that time we will have removed the majority of the dormant accounts and we will suspend the deletion engine to see us zoom through the record. More on this in due course.

Yes it would be only a question of time and we will smash the record. Yes Timo I agree it would be good to see the current record holder’s contributions.

This is my second world record! I am in the book under worlds largest cooperative twister game! (if it still holds of course) proof I have too much time on my hands perhaps.. ;)
