Call for 2008 calendar category suggestions

It’s that time of year to start thinking calendars. We sold hundreds of our 2007 calendar which sold out quickly. Next year we’re expect demand to be equally high, and have therefore engaged the awesome printing ability of deviantArt who will be producing and distributing all orders.

Our crack team will be scouring the OMM Nebula and artist galleries looking for images that fit into 12 pre-selected monthly themes. Submissions are now open for theme ideas, which can either be commented here or emailed to hello@millionmasterpiece.com. Now might be a time to alter your image (or create a new gallery image) to make it more calendar-compatible to get ahead of the pack and increase your chances of being selected.

The 12 categories will be published at the end of September, and image selections will be made during the first two weeks of October. The official 2008 calendar will go on sale at the end of October, at which time successful artists will be notified.

How about some pencil art from omm. a page of black and white drawings will look effective.

My first thought would be one done on colour theme... each month has a particular colour (or shade). Aleternatly, you could perhaps organise them by the birthdays of the artists?

We've received a couple of emails about a space monkey page - i.e. all images that contain a space monkey on one page?

Keep those ideas coming.... Now you can do huge 640x640 pics - it would be nice to see a few of these in the callender too.

I think the pencil art is a great idea. There are also a lot of patriotic type of artworks about the country people are from. there may be enough with flags etc. to make a 'country' page.
