To Answer Your Questions

So in my comments, I've gotten a few questions as to why I prefer doves black, and how they saved me. So I've decided to answer.

Why do I prefer them black?
I suppose that simply, it is because black is the color of my own hair. As cliche as it is, I see myself in birds, and so giving them my hair colors helps me mirror myself in them.

How did they save me?
My self imagery as a bird helped me make realizations about myself, and with the realizations I was able to put myself together again. They helped me step back from my life and see in a new perspective. They helped me to help myself. They saved me from myself.

Why did they save me?
I have no idea. Because I wanted to be saved?
